G-Pak shows class at Graphic Inter-Departmental Games
The G-Pak subsidiary of Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) was over the weekend crowned the new champions at the company’s Inter- Departmental Games when they took home most of the trophies at the games held at the El-Wak Stadium.
The fun-packed annual competition, in honour of the Samuel Konadu, a driver of the GBGL who died in a motor accident last year, saw G-Pak defeat Editorial 2-0 on penalties in the final football match after the game ended in a deadlock after regulation time.
G-Pak’s dominance was also extended to other competitions, including the ladies 4X100 and 100 metres races, volleyball, and the men’s 100 metre races to pick the various trophies at stake in those categories.
There was also strong participation from the Managing Director of the company, Mr Ken Ashigbey, Mr James Dadzie, Director, GPak and Mr Kwesi Kersi, Director, Technical, who competed in the various disciplines.

Mr Ashigbey succumbed to G-Pak in the table tennis competition, while defending champion, Boye Nartey, successfully defended his trophy by beating Mustapha Suleimana.
Perhaps the most thrilling show of the day was the tug- of -war which saw the tenacity of the Editorial Department pay off with victory in the men’s divison. They also won the apple eating competition as well as the lime and spoon race.
Other winners on the day were management who picked the 5 A-side football game, while the Technical Services Department won the men’s 4X100 metre race.
