Constitution Review Committee launches public engagement platform for memoranda submissions

The Constitution Review Committee (CRC), formed under the directive of President John Dramani Mahama, has officially opened a public engagement platform to encourage citizen participation in reviewing Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.

In a bid to ensure an inclusive and transparent process, the Committee is inviting individuals, civil society groups, professional bodies, and other key stakeholders to submit memoranda outlining their perspectives and proposals for constitutional reforms.

A statement issued by the Committee’s Secretary, Dr. Rainer Akumperigya, emphasized that a dedicated interactive website has been launched to keep the public informed, gather feedback, and foster discussions on critical constitutional matters.

To facilitate the submission of memoranda, the Committee has provided the following channels:

•    Email Submissions – Contributions can be sent electronically to submissions@constitutionreviewgh.org.

•    Online Portal – An interactive platform is available at www.constitutionreviewgh.org for digital submissions and discussions.

•    In-Person Submissions – Physical copies of memoranda and any supporting documents can be delivered to the CRC Secretariat at:

o    Office of the President Annex

o    Next to the Ministry of Communication

o    Abdul Diouf Road, Ridge, Accra

o    Digital Address: GA-079-8344

The CRC is committed to ensuring that every Ghanaian has a voice in shaping the country’s democratic future. To further strengthen public participation, the Committee will organize forums and stakeholder consultations nationwide. Details of these engagements will be announced soon.
