Queen Esther School holds graduation

Queen Esther School in Tema has held its annual graduation ceremony to award preschool pupils, junior high school graduates and teachers with certificates of honour.

Thirty pupils graduated from the preschool while 29 completed JHS Three.

Mrs Joyce Annang, an educationist who was the guest of honour, stressed the importance of reading and urged the graduands, especially the JHS graduates who would be continuing to the senior high school to cultivate the habit of reading to enhance their knowledge.

She also asked the pupils to take their studies seriously, be respectful and obedient at all times.

The Vice Chairman of the school’s parent’s teacher association, Mr Sylvester Yankey, called on parents to place priority on the education of their children and also support their training and upbringing by investing in their education.

He urged parents to ensure that their children dressed decently, especially when they are outside the school’s environment to avoid negative comments and also prevent sexual harassment, especially among the female students.

The Administrator of the school, Madam Harriet Lomotey, commended the parents for their continued support towards education delivery in the school.

She also praised the teachers for their tireless efforts in helping to mould the character of children in their care.

The outgoing School Prefect, Maame Esi Adoko, on behalf of the graduating class, commended the parents, teachers and non–teaching staff for supporting their training and upbringing.
