Coming King Nursery/Preparatory holds maiden graduation
The Coming King Nursery and Preparatory School at La in Accra has held its maiden graduation ceremony for its first batch of Junior High School (JHS) graduates.
Sixty-Four pupils graduated from the preschool department to Primary One, while 14 JHS students also passed out.
Speaking on the theme: ‘’Quality Holistic Education is the Key to National Development’’, Mrs Bernice Addae, the Municipal Director of Education, La Dadekotopon, said it was important for parents, teachers and other stakeholders in education to come together to improve on the standard of education for children.
She said it was the responsibility of all citizens to help in the education and development of children because it was through education that they would become responsible adults.
She urged the graduates to be determined in whatever they did, adding that they could achieve their aims in life through hard work and perseverance.
The Proprietress of the school, Mrs Felicia Okoe, said the goal of the school was to create a well-balanced individual with the requisite knowledge, skills, values and aptitude; as well as self-disciplined adults.
Prizes were awarded to pupils and students who excelled academically.
