Kumasi full of music talents– Enzo

Kumasi based, Nigerian artiste, Enzo has said Kumasi has a lot to offer the Ghanaian music industry. 

The 22-year-old, real name Lauren Douglas told Showbiz in an interview recently, “Kumasi has a great number of upcoming artistes who are talented. Also the likes of Okyeame Kwame, Flowking Stone and Mr Eazi, who originated from Kumasi are doing extremely well.”

Enzo has achieved some level of success in Ghana as his single was used as the sound track for the movie, One Last Look directed by Gideon Anim which featured stars like John Dumelo, Grace Nortey, Fred Amugi and Francis Slocombe Jamal. 

Enzo also starred in the popular KNUST series, Tek Hustle where he played the role of the rich Nigeria musician.

He has also performed on several big platforms both in his native Nigeria and Ghana, notably the biggest beach party in Port Court Hive and Moonlight Café

He is set to release a seven track EP titled Redeem and Vibes which is a combination of music and spoken word.

“The Ghanaian music industry is growing gradually as compared to the Nigerian industry. Ghanaians are gradually accepting live music performance to the point where the likes of Sarkodie have recorded full live music” he told Showbiz.

He however complained about the difficulty young artistes face when starting out, “It is not easy to break through the music industry with the kind of music I do with no management,” he added.
