Presient John Mahama's use of an Akan idiom; sɛ Akokɔ sa kyerɛ Akroma a, ennyɛ no fɛ, to wit the chick can never impress the hawk with its dancing, while in Kumasi on a three-day duty tour of the Ashanti Region, appear to hit raw nerves among the regional New Patriotic Party leadership.

Among other things, the President predicted a resounding victory for the National Democratic Congress in the 2016 elections, saying the party would fulfill all its electoral promises.
