Zoomlion undertakes mass spraying in Ashanti Region

The Ashanti Regional office of Zoomlion Ghana Limited has sprayed public places as a means of controlling  reptiles insects and micro-organisms that carry and transmit diseases.

The spraying exercise was carried out at markets, public toilets, dump sites, drains and refuse collection points. So far, the Ashanti Region has recorded few cases of cholera for both the second and third quarters of the year.

Besides spraying, which is periodically done throughout the year,  Zoomlion also cleared  bushes,  removed silt from gutters and discarded disused car tyres that were habitats for mosquitoes and other disease-carrying organisms.

Before the exercise, district environmental and sanitation officers select the areas noted for being infested with diseases. Having identified the sites Zoomlion then goes in to disinfect the areas.
