‘Mysterious’ cow claimed

It has emerged that the cow which was caught at sea by fishermen from Chorkor last week belonged to the people of Sukula, a suburb of Accra.

Subsequently, the animal has been handed over to them. 

“I can confirm that we have finally handed over the cow to the people of Sukula. However, they were made to pay for the fishing net that was destroyed by the animal that day,” Nii Kukurudu, the Chorkor Wulomo (Chief Fisherman), said.

 The Chief Fisherman told the Daily Graphic the group from Sukula claimed that on the evening of Tuesday, February 12, 2014, they were chasing the cow home when it suddenly entered the sea.

The people said they gave up, thinking that the cow had died, only to hear the next day that it had been found at Chorkor.
