Jake’s demise shows March is ‘sad month’ — Prez
President John Dramani Mahama says the demise of Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, the immediate past National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), shows that March is a “sad month” for Ghana.
In a tweet following Obetsebi-Lamptey’s death in London, the President said: “March has taken a great toll on the country.”
He mentioned others who had passed on as the Chief Director of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Mr A. Fuseini; the Eastern Regional Police Commander, DCOP A. Awuni, and veteran comedian, Bishop Bob Okala.
“Sad month. March has taken a great toll. MoD Chief Director A. Fuseini, B. Okala, DCOP Awuni & now J. Obetsebi-Lamptey. Deepest condolences,” the President tweeted.
