‘Assist teachers to impact good norms in children’

The Headmistress of the Pap Academy, Ms Victorial Ahiabenu-Quaye, has called on parents to assist teachers to inculcate acceptable social norms in their children.

According to her, it was important for parents to complement the efforts of teachers in the upbringing of their children

The headmistress said it was wrong for some parents to refuse to cater for their children and left their upbringing only to teachers.

Ms Ahiabenu-Quaye said this at the graduation ceremony of the school held on the theme: “Peace and Unity; factors in nation building in the 2015/2016 academic year”.

Earlier, she challenged the graduates to strive to make positive impact on the development of their respective countries.

She said the school would not relent in its efforts to produce God-fearing children.

Ms Ahiabenu-Quaye advised the students who are not yet 18 to resist any temptation to vote during the upcoming election.

More than 58 children graduated.

The Proprietor of the school, Mr Eric Quaye, expressed his commitment that the school would ensure that the children had access to quality education.

He said they would aspire to improve the quality of teaching and learning, in the school as well as initiate some interventions to promote activity-based learning.
