Rainbow Nations Tennis Tournament returns for fourth edition in Accra

The highly anticipated Rainbow Nations Challenge Tennis Tournament is set to return for its fourth edition from March 11-13, 2025, bringing together 56 players from 23 countries to compete at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club.

The tournament, hosted by the Ghana South African Business Chamber (GSABC), continues to serve as a platform for fostering international business networking and cooperation.

The event will once again be held under the patronage of Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, with all player entrance fees donated to the ZAR Foundation to support community projects in Klottey-Korle.

Matches will be played under floodlights from 5 pm to 9 pm, culminating in an exciting finals night on Thursday. The final day will feature the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and grand finale, followed by a celebratory gala cocktail and live music for the winning team.

Defending champions, Team USA, will return to defend their title against strong contenders from Ghana, India, Italy, Belgium, and South Africa. With competitive teams vying for victory, this year’s edition is expected to be the tightest contest yet.

Building business and sporting ties

Grant Webber, President of the Ghana South African Business Chamber, expressed enthusiasm about the tournament’s growth and impact.

"We are thrilled to host the Rainbow Nations Challenge for the fourth year. We hope to continue fostering closer relationships with the diplomatic and business communities in Ghana, and use this opportunity to create a new framework for cooperation to navigate these uncertain economic times," he stated.

The Rainbow Nations Challenge brand has also expanded beyond tennis, introducing a running club that holds monthly time trials focused on health and well-being, as well as a padel club that plays every weekend.

Gratitude to sponsors and community support

The GSABC extended its appreciation to sponsors and partners whose support has made the tournament possible, enabling a successful and vibrant event for participants from diverse backgrounds.

As anticipation builds for the 2025 edition, organisers are confident that the tournament will continue to strengthen sports diplomacy, business collaboration, and community impact in Ghana.
