Kirk Franklin at Adom Praiz

The hype has gone on for several weeks and the day has eventually come for multiple Grammy-Award-winning American gospel musician, choir director and author Kirk Franklin to headline Adom Praiz 2013 tonight at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu in Accra.

Franklin is known all over the world for his captivating urban contemporary gospel sound. He is expected to be backed by an 11-member band at the 15,000-seater venue.

The American artiste is applauded as a pioneer in gap-bridging musicianship, uniting audiences across gospel, hip hop, pop and R&B. His irresistible rhythms and rhapsodies have resulted in albums that consistently top gospel, R&B and hip hop charts.

Apart from Franklin, who has six solo albums to his credit, some of Ghana’s gospel music gems such as Cwesi Oteng, Cecilia Marfo, No Tribe  and Ohemaa Mercy will also perform at Adom Praiz 2013.

The show’s organisers, Adom FM, have promised lovers of good, uplifting contemporary sounds to turn up for a great night of music.
