Movenpick Ambassador Hotel to build new edifice
Despite its exclusive service, the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel is set to introduce another unique product to its services to offer its existing and potential customers additional comfort.
Consequently, the company is to construct a new edifice dubbed the Ambassador Height, a project expected to kick start next month and scheduled to be completed in the later part of 2015.
The 18 bedroom residential apartment, to be built immediately adjacent to the Ambassador Hotel will have a spacious living room, dining area that flows seamlessly together, a large kitchen with exquisite finishing and luxury appliances, among other things.
The project, which is the third residential phase of the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, would have each apartment separated from the other by hedges.

Occupants of the property would also have access to facilities at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel such as the restaurants, fitness, retail, event facilities and pool side.
Sales Manager
In an interview with the Graphic Business, the Sales Manager of the Kingdom Investment Limited, Mr Robert B. Davis, said the project would offer supreme lifestyle and investment opportunity to the people of the country.
“There had always been a planned phase to the Movenpick Ambassador hotel and we are glad to bring it to life starting from this year”, he said.
He indicated that Ghanaians had appreciated the hotel’s services since it began its operation and expressed the hope that the Ambassador Height, which was part of the initial project, would soon come to light to offer the exclusive five star experiences to its customers.
Who qualifies to be a resident?
According to the Sales Manager, everybody qualifies to become a resident of the new apartment including foreigners.
“The residential apartment would be opened to all including families and individuals who have the desire to live a comfortable life”, he added.
History of Movenpick Ambassador Hotel
History has it that the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, formally known as the Ambassador Hotel, was a gift from the United Kingdom to the government of the then newly-independent state of Ghana.
The hotel played host to royalty, power and fame throughout its lifetime.
It hosted dignitaries from many parts of the world including the Duchess of Kent on March 6, 1957 during Ghana’s first independent celebration and the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II.
In those days, the Ambassador hotel became the obvious venue for many state balls and a preferred destination for many due to its serene environment.
Location
The Ambassador Hotel stood tall in the midst of a rapidly developing business district of the capital city Accra.
The Cedi House, home to the Ghana Stock Exchange, the National Theatre, the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park and many others have been built close to it.
It was not only its services and environment that stood tall but the beautiful edifice it presents was a sight to behold.
To return to its glorious past, the Kingdom Hotel Investment Limited in 2005 acquired the property from the government of Ghana to give it a face lift and the precedence it requires.
Opened to much splendor and flourish in 2011 as the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, the hotel still showcases many of the original art works hosted by the Ambassador Hotel which had remained on display throughout its development till today.
Employment Opportunities
Speaking on employment to Ghanaians during the construction of the facility, Mr Davis said the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel had created more than 1000 jobs for Ghanaians since the hotel began its operations and was hopeful that more opportunities would be created with the introduction of the new facilities.
The Area General Manager of the MAN Enterprises Ghana Limited, the construction firm responsible for the new project, Mr Clovis Abi Nader, said 99 per cent of Ghanaians would be hired to work in the various parts of the project.
He said more Ghanaians had similar opportunities during the construction of the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel and gained a lot of experience through it and noted that the new project would offer the same opportunity. GB
