Stars donate to orphanage

The senior national team, the Black Stars currently in Kumasi for the last leg of their preparations ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Zambia yesterday  made a donation to the Kumasi Children’s Home on their arrival in the Ashanti regional capital.

The team, led by skipper Asamoah Gyan, donated bags of rice, gallons of oil, cartons of milk, toiletries among other items, to  the Home on their way to their camping base at the Golden Tulip.

Midfielder Michael Essien assisted Gyan to make the presentation which was witnessed by several enthusiastic supporters.

The arrival of the Black Stars in Kumasi has raised the excitement among soccer fans in the garden city with many striving to catch a glimpse of the players.
