Hearts shock Kotoko
Accra Hearts of Oak last Saturday shocked their arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko with a 1-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium to silence the Porcupine Warriors before their voiceferous fans.
Selassi Adjei emerged the hero of the game with his eighth minute strike.
Ofori Antwi, who was in the post for Kotoko, failed to grab a shot from Richard Yamoah and the ball fell to Adjei who slotted home the only goal of the match.
Incidentally, it was Kotoko’s first home defeat since the First Capital Plus League began.

Although Kotoko looked more threatening before the goal, it was the visitors who dictated the pace throughout the first half.
Kotoko looked very ordinary on a day when much was expected of them from their teeming supporters, who thronged the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
In the dying minutes of the game, substitute Kwame Kizito, who came in to replace Gilbert Fiamenyo, wasted a glorious opportunity to increase the tally for the Phobians..
After beating the offside trap and with only goalkeeper Antwi to beat, he decided to lob the ball over the onrushing keeper but it went over the bar much to chagrin of their supporters.
