New security heads appointed
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new security chiefs for the Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).
A statement signed by the Spokesperson to the President and Minister in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, named Patience Baffoe-Bonnie as the new Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service; Mawusi Ntow-Sapong as the new Chief Fire Officer, and Samuel Basentale Amadu as the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
The new appointments come on the heels of the appointment of Christian Tetteh Yohuno as Inspector General of Police (IGP) to replace Dr George Akuffo Dampare last Thursday.
The appointments were made in consultation with the Council of State, the statement said.
