Definitely in our future: Simone Biles says husband Jonathan Owens is eager to make her a mom
Olympic gold medallist and gymnast Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, recently opened up about wanting children.
The 27-year-old gymnast Simone Biles says that she definitely wants to have children and that she and her NFL player husband Jonathan Owens discuss the idea often.
Biles revealed that she and Owens discuss starting a family frequently, but first want to reach their personal goals.
The pair recently made headlines after Owens sparked backlash for wearing her gold medal after her recent Paris Olympics win.
Biles is the third woman in the world to become a two-time Olympic all-around champion and is one of the most decorated gymnasts in the world—an achievement that has earned her the G.O.A.T - Greatest of All Time - title.
She recently revealed that her career and personal goals are the only things stopping her and Owens from starting a family. According to Biles, who recently spoke with 'Today' host Hoda Kotb, she and Owens "always talk about kids."
Biles also shared that Owens is even more eager than she is to start a family and can't wait. While she made it clear that achieving specific goals comes first, she definitely plans to start a family in the future.
"Yes, me and Jonathan always talk about kids, and he would have had them yesterday if he could have. Obviously, we both have goals that we want to achieve before we start a family. But, yes, that's definitely in our future."
Meanwhile, the pair recently made headlines after Owens shared a photo of them which shows him wearing one of the three gold medals she won at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The post sparked immediate backlash from fans who called him out for a 2023 interview he did, during which he claimed not to have known who she was when they first started speaking.
Later, responding to the backlash, he told Us Weekly that he tries not to respond to social media trolls and expects people to have something to say about everything.
He said: "I don't mean to cuss, but like, damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you say something, they're going to say something; if you don’t say something, they're going to say something."
Biles also defended him by saying that he worships the ground she walks on and that she has never met anyone like him.
