BAL and Hennessy to bost second “BAL IN” Accra on Dec. 27 ahead of 2025 season
The Basketball Africa League (BAL), in partnership with cognac brand Hennessy, is set to bring its second edition of “BAL IN” to Accra, Ghana.
The much-anticipated basketball, lifestyle, and entertainment event will take place at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday, December 27, and promises to celebrate African culture and creativity by blending basketball, fashion, music, art, design, and entertainment.
“BAL IN” Accra, presented by Hennessy, will feature a celebrity basketball game curated by AfroFuture, a leading African-focused media management company.

BAL President Amadou Gallo Fall expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Accra, noting the league’s mission to build momentum ahead of its milestone fifth season.

The “BAL IN” series is part of the league’s long-term strategy to connect with fans across Africa and the diaspora. Previous editions have been successfully held in cities including Abidjan, Berlin, Lagos, Paris, and Salt Lake City, showcasing the BAL's growing international footprint.
Meanwhile, the BAL’s milestone fifth season is scheduled to tip off on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, Morocco. The season will conclude with the BAL Finals on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa.
The 2025 season will feature 12 top club teams from across Africa, playing a total of 48 games in four cities: Rabat, Dakar, Kigali, and Pretoria. The games will be divided into three conferences:
- Kalahari Conference: April 5 – 13 in Rabat, Morocco
- Sahara Conference: April 26 – May 4 at Dakar Arena, Senegal
- Nile Conference: May 17 – 25 at BK Arena, Kigali, Rwanda
