Multimedia apologises to Nyantakyi
Multimedia Group Limited, owners of Asempa FM, has rendered an unqualified apology to Kwesi Nyantakyi, the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for defamatory comments its presenter, Patrick Osei Agyeman alias Countryman Songo and ex-worker, Kofi Asare Brako had made against him in the course of their duty.
The apology has been necessitated by a court action brought against the company and its workers for an incessant defamation suit for which he is demanding GH¢2million as compensation.
The hearing of the case resumed last Monday after the initial hearing was adjourned last week.
“The Multimedia Group Limited, Operators of Asempa 94.7 FM, a radio station based in Accra hereby unconditionally retract and apologise for the defamatory statements made of and concerning Kwesi Nyantakyi by its presenters Patrick Osei Agyeman alias "Songo" and Kofi Asare Brako alias "Abatey" during various editions of the Ultimate Sports Show and Fire for Fire programmes,” the statement reads.
The two presenters were not in court for the hearing yesterday.
