Ghana's Fastest Human launches ‘Three Athletes per Company’
Organisers of Ghana's Fastest Human(GFH) 100 metres talent hunt have launched a drive to get Corporate Ghana to adopt future Olympians.
The programme dubbed ‘Three Athletes Per Company’ is aimed at getting companies to a least adopt three athletes and sponsor their training for at least one year under the best local coaches and dieticians.
Already the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, (GNPC ) has taken the first step and would sponsor four sprinters from the Sept 10 final of finals of the 2016 GNPC Ghana's Fastest Human.
According to Reks Brobbey, Chief Executive of GFH these four athletes will form the GNPC Speedsters Club" and be under the tutelage of top coaches for a year.
He disclosed that Red Sea Maritime, had also joined to sponsor this year’s competition with a cash donation of GHc20,000 by Ray Snowden, Chief Executive of the company.
