Patriotic Cadres remember Boye Sekan
In attendance were some high-profile dignitaries from inter-denominational and corporate bodies, state organisations and some political party activists.
Addressing the gathering, the Secretary of the Ledzokuku Cadre Front, Mr Lucky Boye Lorgan said the late Sekan was a revolutionary tycoon who helped to champion the cause of cadre corps nationwide.
“He was a pillar of strength to the success of the Ledzokuku Constituency in terms of development,” he said.
He mentioned that the first adjudicating and reconciliatory process of Teshie chieftaincy disputes held in 1993, were some of the great initiatives of the late Sekan.
Delivering the keynote address, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly, Mr Daniel Amartey Mensah, said the potential and ambitions of the late Sekan were recognised during his school days, which later manifested in his political career.
In her remarks, the Minster of Health, Mrs Sherry Aryitey, called for unity for national development, peace and solidarity in the country in order to enhance the better Ghana agenda.
Meanwhile, certificates of merits were awarded to 30 committed citizens and dignitaries for their dedication to development in the Teshie municipality and the country as a whole.
