President Mahama calls for unity to reset Ghana’s economic future
President John Dramani Mahama has described the 2025 National Economic Dialogue as an urgent call to action, emphasising the need for stakeholders to unite with purpose in addressing Ghana’s challenges.
He stated that the event was not merely an opportunity to recount the country’s struggles or accept economic stagnation but rather a platform to seek solutions and adopt strategies that would place Ghana on a sustainable growth trajectory.
Speaking at the event in Accra today, held under the theme "Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together," he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building an economy that benefits all Ghanaians.
“The insights, diverse perspectives, and actionable recommendations that emerge from these discussions must go beyond theoretical frameworks and drive real, impactful decisions that will guide our national economy forward,” he stated.

He further noted that the dialogue would focus on practical strategies to restore macroeconomic stability and lay the foundation for long-term economic transformation.
This, he said includes implementing policies that stimulate growth and create sustainable job opportunities for the country’s rapidly growing population.
"We will also examine the structural reforms necessary to unlock the private sector’s potential and truly make it the engine of growth, driving job creation and innovation," he added.
