NPP issues guidelines for electing on National Council regional representatives
The National Steering Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued guidelines for the conduct of the election of regional representatives to the National Council.
According to the guidelines, aspirants would pay two thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢2,000.00) as nomination and filing fees.
It said nominations were to remain open until 5p.m. yesterday.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, advised regional executives to ensure that the elections were held in strict conformity with the provisions of the party’s constitution.

The elections, according to the statement, should be representative of the demography of the region as to reflect the diversity and national character of the party.
The statement said the elections would be supervised by representatives of the National Executive Committee and the outcome would be determined by simple majority.
