Play at least 70% Ghana music in Heritage Month - Kofi Okyere-Darko urges

The Director of Diaspora Affairs, Office of the President, Kofi Okyere-Darko, has urged Ghanaian media to play about 70% Ghanaian music in the month of March.

According to him, Heritage Month is a call for everyone to show how proud they are as Ghanaians.

He made these remarks at the launch of Heritage Month at Labadi Beach Hotel on Monday, March 3, 2025.

He urged Ghanaians to take advantage of this period to promote local content, noting that it would go a long way to put a spotlight on Ghanaian music and grow the sector.

“For this month of March, please let us do Ghana music. I will entreat us to do at least 70 percent Ghanaian music,” he said.

Kofi Okyere Darko said, “We have enough music in our collection to keep us going for the entire month.”

He encouraged Ghanaians to take this month as an opportunity to refocus and come together to build a brighter future, emphasizing that “we have a beautiful country to build together, let's unite to create the Ghana we desire”.
