Send-off for Catechist of Vredes Congregation

Mrs Christiana Asabea Preko leading the Singing Band group of the Vredes Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, La-Accra, to present their parting gift to the outgoing Catechist of the church, Mrs Sarah Atiemo-Amoako.

This was at a send-off programme organised by the congregation on Sunday, November 1, 2014. With her is Mr Eric Amoako, her husband.

The programme also saw the unveiling of a signboard donated by the Young People’s Guild (YPG) of the church by the elders of the congregation including the Senior Presbyter, Mrs Cecilia Rebecca Atswei Okang.

Mrs Atiemo-Amoako, who has ended her four-year term at Vredes, is on transfer to the Nativity Congregation also in La. She will be replaced by Catechist Irene Naa Dzamah Adjei from Nativity.

She underscored the importance of serving in humility and thanked the congregation for their show of love and support and urged them to extend same to her successor.
