NIC presents cheque to Ghana Police Service
The National Insurance Commission (NIC) has presented a cheque for GH¢100,000 to the Ghana Police Service to assist them build a permanent office for the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards Directorate (PIPS).
The contribution formed part of the Commission’s decision to donate GH¢25,000.00 every month to the Police to help boost its operations.
The NIC last year donated GH¢100,000 to the Ghana Police to assist them discharge their duties to ensure road safety and enforcement of insurance law.
In another development, the Commission, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, has donated GH¢5,000.00 to Mama Ellen Foundation; a non-governmental, non-profitable and a non- denominational charitable foundation based at Kronkronmase New Site near Atasemanso in Kumasi.
The gesture by the Commission is to help the Foundation educate people on early reporting, screen them, as well as create awareness of glaucoma and other eye conditions in Ghana.
