Mahama to open Business Summit in Oslo (audio)
President John Dramani Mahama will this morning open the 4th Norwegian-African Business Summit 2014 in Oslo, as part of his four-day official visit to the Kingdom of Norway, a statement from the Flagstaff House has said.
The Summit is taking place on the theme 'Mapping the African Infrastructure Landscape', with sessions on agribusiness & agriculture, renewable energy, impact investments and opportunities in Africa's infrastructure deficit.
At a special session focusing on Ghana, President Mahama who is accompanied by a delegation of business executives from Ghana will make a pitch for business partnerships and match-making, and investments in Ghana's infrastructure projects.
Earlier Thursday morning, President Mahama held discussions with the Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende and will be meeting the King of Norway later this afternoon at the Royal Palace, where he will also be hosted to a luncheon.
Last night (Wednesday), the Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg hosted an official dinner in honour of President Mahama.
The two leaders spoke about the cooperation between their two countries and reaffirmed their commitment to developing their economies to create opportunities for their citizens.
