Graphic signs agreement with Wisewater Foundation
Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) and Wisewater Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, have agreed to collaborate to educate the public on the prevention of cholera and Ebola.
An agreement to that effect was signed between the two organisations last Monday.
The Director of Newspapers, Mr Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, signed the partnership for GCGL on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr Kenneth Ashigbey, while Rev. Emmanuel Amarquaye, Project Initiator of Wisewater Foundation, signed for Wisewater.
The campaign will include an “Ebola Awareness Walk” scheduled for November 7, 2014.

By the agreement, the GCGL has pledged to promote education on hand-washing under clean running water, avoiding shaking hands with persons showing signs of the Ebola virus disease and the dangers of buying and consuming cold uncovered food at public places, among other things.
Mr Boadu-Ayeboafoh said the GCGL welcomed the initiative and was committed to supporting such efforts.
“In terms of coverage, we will ensure we give you the maximum attention, since that is within our mandate. We have the avenues and we will help you in that direction,” he said.
Rev. Amarquaye said it was time for all Ghanaians to join in the fight against Ebola, looking at the devastating consequences of the outbreak in some West African countries.
“It is time to take the challenge and work together to increase public awareness of the disease as well as its prevention. This must not be confined to Ebola but must also include cholera, a very preventable disease that is wreaking havoc on our society,” he said.
Meanwhile, Wisewater Foundation, has unveiled a T-shirt for the prevention campaign.
