Satguru Travels and Tour supports blood bank

A travel and tours company, the Satguru Travels and Tour Services Ltd. has mobilised 200 pints of blood to support the country’s blood bank. 

The blood donation, which was organised during the 68th independence anniversary celebration, formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities.

Held at the ISCC Hall, Indian Temple at Osu, Accra, the exercise saw the staff of the Satguru Travels and other members of the community donating blood. 

Team

A team from the Ridge Medical Centre was also available to provide a smooth and safe donation process, with each pint of blood set to benefit hospitals and clinics in need.

After the donation, participants were provided with refreshments to restore their energy.

Medical professionals also monitored donors for any adverse reactions, providing necessary care when required.

Throughout the event, volunteers conducted an awareness campaign, informing attendees about the life-saving benefits of blood donation.

Rationale

The General Manager of the Satguru Travels, Kapil Khemani, highlighted the importance of community-driven initiatives, showcasing the Satguru Travels' commitment to social responsibility and making a lasting difference.

He expressed gratitude to all donors, volunteers and partners who made the blood donation camp a remarkable success.
