Dizengoff Ghana marks 59th milestone

The Managing Director of Dizengoff Ghana, Mr Arie Carmon, has urged stakeholders to assist farmers with modern techniques in farming, so that they can contribute positively to food security in the country.

“Since our inception in Ghana for the past 59 years, we have been supplying thousands of farmers, with quality seeds, advanced irrigation solutions, agricultural sprayers, high quality agro-chemicals and fertilizers, and post-harvest facilities and equipment, “he said.

That, he observed, would support farmers in providing fast and cost-effective solutions to challenges confronting efforts to increase food production.

Mr Carmon made the remarks at the company’s 59th anniversary celebration in Accra. The company is one of the subsidiaries of the British multinational company, Balton CP Group.

Experienced professionalism

As a pioneering, and powerful force within Ghana's ever growing economy, he said, the company brought experienced professionals from the Balton Group to Ghana, contributing to agriculture, communication technology and electro mechanical engineering.

“Dizengoff Ghana has emerged as a positive influence in Ghana and continues to empower the people with modern technologies and knowledge in all of its fields of expertise,” he stated.

A new approach

For her part, the Public Relations Manager, Dizengoff Ghana, Ms Elaine M Arthur, said the company had initiated a new approach towards Ghana's small-scale farmers, by introducing the award winning Dizengoff Farmers Kit (DFK).

”This initiative, which has been embraced through Balton CP's subsidiaries in over 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, has been a catalyst for new and emerging partnerships between Dizengoff Ghana and the government of Ghana.

“We are motivated by a passion for empowering the people of Africa and coupled with a pioneer spirit for introducing new, cutting-edge technologies and knowledge, “she explained.

Balton CP, Ms Arthur said, would continue to strive in achieving commercially sustainable development in all fields of endeavour.
