Anloga: 60-year-old chopbar operator killed in suspected robbery incident

A chopbar operator has been killed in a suspected robbery incident at Anloga Dornorgbor in the Volta Region.

The incident happened in the night in the Anloga District.

Identified as 60-year-old Dorcas Korkor Tetteh, she was found lying on the floor lifeless with marks all over her body in her room on Saturday morning [Dec 28, 2024]. 

Her chopbar is known as 'The Base'.

Information gathered indicates that the suspected armed robbers attacked and killed the chopbar operator in the night.

According to the Presiding Member of the Anloga District Assembly, Joseph Kpattah, the deceased, Dorcas Korkor Tetteh, 60, returned from church service last Friday night.

He said, when her workers arrived on Saturday morning, it was detected that the metal bar in her windows were removed while the windows and doors were left opened.

On entering her room, she was found lying on the floor lifeless with marks all over her body.

A report was made to the police and the police conveyed the body to the morgue for further action whilst investigations continue.
