Court denies Nayele’s accomplices bail
An Accra circuit court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri has dismissed a bail application filed by the alleged accomplices of Ruby Adu Gyamfi alias Nayele Ametefe, the woman who was busted in the UK for carrying cocaine.
The accused persons, Alhaji Dawood, a businessman, and Nana Akua Amponsah and Sadalia Sandra Nuhu are facing prosecution charges in Ghana for the role the played in aiding Nayele Ametefe to transport 12kg cocaine into the UK.
During proceedings in court on Friday, lawyers for the accused persons argued that the facts as presented by the prosecution did not support the charges proffered against their clients.
The case has been adjourned to December 22.

Alhaji Dawood, has been accused of facilitating Nayele’s access through the VVIP lounge at the Kotoka International Airport into the British Airways flight.
The two other ladies have been accused of travelling with Nayele but abandoned their luggage and managed to abscond after she was arrested at the Heathrow Airport.
Meanwhile, Nayele has pleaded guilty to to charges proffered against her by a UK court.
She is expected to reappear before the court on January 5, 2015.
