Company donates maize to 4 institutions
The African Support Network Holding Limited (ASN), a private entity, has donated 1000 bags of maize to four institutions in Accra.
The beneficiary institutions are the Ghana Prisons Service, New Horizon Special School, Osu Children’s Home and Teshie Orphanage.
Presenting the maize valued at Gh¢80,000 at a ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of ASN, Prince Sarpong, said the donation was in line with the company’s social responsibility towards improving the well-being of children of orphanages and inmates of prisons.
He noted that inmates of the prisons and children in orphanages needed so much help.

He, therefore, appealed to corporate organisations and individuals to also support such under-privileged institutions.
The Deputy Controller of the Ghana Prisons Service, DCOP Stephen Cofie, who received the service’s share of the donation, thanked ASN for its assistance and said it had come at a critical moment.
He said, “The Prisons Service caters for 14,000 inmates across the country and we consider such support as timely.”
