
UPSA holds matriculation
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Accra, Professor Joshua Alabi, has asked students to seek honest ways of achieving success instead of resorting to shortcuts.
“Resorting to unapproved shortcuts to succeed, inevitably leads to failure and inefficient job performance and the result is lack of commitment,” he stated.
Prof. Alabi, who was speaking during a matriculation ceremony of the university, also advised the students to avoid negative tendencies that would divert their attention from their mission of achieving maximum educational development and the ultimate goal of improving their quality of life.
Intake reduces
A total of 3,582 students were admitted to the university to pursue various academic programmes. The fresh students constituted 49.5 per cent of the total number of 7,234 applications received for the 2015/2016 academic year.
