The Kouachi brothers - Cherif and Said - believed to have carried out the deadly attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo which claimed 12 lives, have been killed.
CNN.COM reports that a tweet by Othis Mayor Bernard Corneille confirmed the new development.
The brothers were killed in an operation by security forces, Corneille said. French media also reported their deaths, citing police sources.
Four helicopters, including a medical helicopter, landed at a site near where the operation took place.
