Jupitar, Samini for Dancemania 2016

Tomorrow, Sunday, November 6, will be a great day for 10 dancehall finalists who will vie for the dancehall king and queen crown at Dancemania competition at the Korle Gonno Beach at 12 noon. 

The 10 finalists of  Dancemania organised by Pluzz FM are JB Cefer,  Afrekaan , Ariginal , Militana, Royal Souljah, Web City, Bwoy Louka, Don Refix, Jio Bwoy  and  Pixel. 

In a chat with Daily Graphic, Emmanuel Fiifi Botchway aka  Fiifi Selah of Pluzz FM  said the event which was started three months ago aims at giving an opportunity to young artistes who want to do dancehall but do not have the means to do so.

According to him, there are very good underground artistes whose talents are wasting away because they do not have anyone to support them, but with Dancemania, he believes such artistes can be given the platform to showcase their talents.

“We at Pluzz FM came up with this initiative to bring together wannabe dancehall artistes, groom them and give them the platform they wouldn’t have gotten anywhere to exhibit their talents” he said.

Talking about the show, Fiifi Selah said apart from the crowning of the dancehall king or queen, there will also be other awards like Best Dressed Dancehall Artiste, Best Lyricist among others.

 Dancehall artistes who will be performing on the day are Samini, Stonebwoy, Root Eye, Shatta Rako, Jupitar, Epixode, Culture and Exdoe.

The rest are  Budda Man, Rudebwoy Ranking, Kamelyeon, Wanrow, linguakat, Jahwi, Jahwyz, Tida, Konkarah, Blouk Sing Jay , Burning Fya, Mavluz, King Vuvu and  Kahpune.
