Delay brings 'Cocoa Brown'
Cocoa Brown, a new television series on the true life story of television presenter, Deloris Frimpong Manso, will start airing on some local television stations in the country from next month.
Some of the popular faces featured in the series directed by Kofi Asamoah are Eunice Banini, Akorfa Edjeani, Caroline Sampson, Black Boy, Root Eye and Ahuofi Patricia.
The others are Shatta Michy, Moesha Boudong, Kwaku Elliot, D Cryme, Nana Boroo and Evelyn Addo popularly known as Nina.
In an interview with Showbiz last week, Delay said she conceived the idea to produce Cocoa Brown to correct some of the negative misconception about her and to tell her struggles from “obscurity to the limelight”.
“Cocoa Brown is all about me; how I became a presenter, the difficulty I went through to become who I am today and where I want to be in future. It is an interesting TV series and I have already shot seven episodes,” she stated.
According to Delay, the selection of the characters is to give new talents the opportunity to explore and also to give an opportunity to the old faces who haven’t been seen in a long while.
Delay, who also produces the popular Afia Schwarzennegar series on Viasat 1 said even though the TV series is yet to be officially aired, she has been inspired by the positive reviews the series has earned after the trailer was put on You Tube recently.
