Bishop Agyin Asare praises Kirk Franklin
The General Overseer of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare has described American gospel act, Kirk Franklin as the right gospel music minister for the kind of praises that Ghanaians needed to give to God at this stage in the country’s life.
Kirk Franklin is the headline act for this year’s Adom Praiz show to be held on Saturday, August 3 at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu Junction, Accra.
Speaking in his office to Adom FM, Bishop Agyinasare said Kirk Franklin was not a mere gospel musician, but the anointed kind who ministers for things to happen.
“Kirk Franklin does not just sing – he is anointed and signs and wonders follow his ministrations – he is the type that sings about our everyday life and the challenges we face.
“ He sings about our struggle with sin because he had lived a sinful life before and God delivered him so he gives hope to people that God can deliver them from the power of sin and from life’s challenges,” he said.
The Bishop urged everyone to come to Adom Praiz with their burdens, sicknesses and troubles and expect the visitation of God as Kirk Franklin and the supporting performers including Cwesi Oteng, Ohemaa Mercy, Cecilia Marfo and No Tribe minister in songs.
Touching on the preparedness of the venue to receive the thousands of people expected to patronise the show, Bishop Agyinasare said “the Perez Dome is fortified with the best shocks to hold over 14,000 people jumping and dancing to the glory of God. “
He said the Perez Dome was the work of two of Ghana’s top architects who have experience in constructing bigger buildings in other parts of Africa.
According to him, the architects made important contributions to the re-construction of the Accra Sports Stadium, so those attending the show should feel secure in the Perez Dome.
Meanwhile, tickets for the show are on sale for GHC30 regular and GHC50 VIP at various outlets in Accra and Tema.
The lead sponsor of the concert, Airtel has announced that tickets can also be bought via Airtel Money.
