‘Thinking Out Loud’ is Knii Lante’s latest

He is known for the passionate delivery he brings to his recorded material and Knii Lante, does it again in style on his latest single titled Thinking Out Loud.

The multiple award-winning artiste lends a a sweet and smooth taste to a song which is a cover version of English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran’s romantic chart-topper ballad.

Produced for Knii Lante by highly-rated Jamaican saxophonist, Dean Fraser, the song is set for digital release worldwide by the Zojak label on June 30.

According to Knii Lante, he first heard the original piece a few months ago when his friend and manager, Mr Don Green, sent him a link to the video.

Mr Green told him the song was a big hit in America and other places in the world and that they could do a good reggae cover of it.
“I really liked the lyrics of the song, especially as it referred to the long lasting nature of sincere love,” the man adjudged the Best Male Vocalist at the 2011 and 2013 Ghana Music Awards said.

Around the same time, Mr Dean Fraser who had collaborated with Knii Lante on some previous works, had also heard the song and felt it could be great for Knii Lante to cover it because of the passionate style of singing it would require.
“So we were all thinking out loudly,” Knii Lante said.

Dean Fraser arranged and produced the instrumental backing in Jamaica and the vocals were recorded at Zapp Mallet’s Title Track Studio in Accra. Knii Lante pointed out that he listens to a wide variety of music and is not afraid to tackle work by somebody else that he likes. He did a cover version of Luther Vandross’ So Amazing for his Love and Revolution album.

Ghanaian artiste recently featured on Zambian, General Ozzy’s Girlfriend track and also recorded a single called Gimme the Roots with the Rebel Liberation Sounds from Kenya.
