Ghanaian auction website i-Bid2Win launches mobile app

i-Bid2Win, an online auction platform which was launched a month ago by a Ghanaian technology company Techno Genesis in partnership with PollAfrique has added to its stock a mobile app version to give subscribers a more flexible and unique user experience.

The website, www.ibid2win.com, is already promoting products and services at more than 70 per cent discount from the recommended retail price of consumer goods and services listed. 

The mobile app version, which is the first of its kind in Sub Saharan Africa, allows the subscriber to bid on the go and also be updated on the auction items they are bidding on through real time notifications and alerts.

A Co-founder of Techno Genesis, Tony Donkor, told Graphic Online that with Africa becoming a mobile first to ICT and the steady growth of mobile phone usage and internet penetration, consumers are becoming more internet and e-commerce savvy, leading to the demand for a more and better online experience.
