Entrepreneurs’ Organisation targets Ghana

Entrepreneurs' Organisation (EO), a global network of business owners, is set to expand its footprints into Ghana with the setting up of a local chapter.

EO, which is present in more than 48 countries, drives global economic growth by empowering leading entrepreneurs to transform their businesses, their communities and themselves.

At a meeting with business professionals in Accra, the Global Chairman of EO, Mr Gilberto Crombe, said Ghana had a lot of entrepreneurs and the potential to spur economic growth was huge, hence the need to expand in the country. 

He, however, added that the group was a member-led one and, therefore, business owners in Ghana must be willing to start and sustain it with the help of their Nigerian counterparts, who already had a chapter. 

“Our focus is not on policy. We are concerned about the entrepreneurs and how they can succeed; but they must however, be willing to learn and share,” he said. 

He said the mission of the group was to engage leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow by providing a platform that would bring the entrepreneurs together and eliminate the isolation of those who ran businesses.

“EO empowers entrepreneurs to develop as leaders in their businesses and communities by creating opportunities for deep and meaningful transformation. The average EO member has generated at least US$1 million in revenue growth in the past 12 months,” he said.

The Entrepreneurs’ Organisation enriches members’ lives by providing benefits drawn from three dynamic areas; comprising peer-to-peer learning, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and connections to experts.

Mr Crombe added that not only do EO members attend unique conferences in cities all over the world, they also receive access to exclusive social events, behind-the-scenes invitations and exciting networking opportunities.

“EO members tap into a network of experts on an as-needed basis, drawing from the experience of others in areas such as medical treatment, business advice, life skills coaching and more,” he said.
