VIDEO: Gareth Bale inspires Real Madrid to AS Roma win

Gareth Bale sent a clear message to new manager Julen Lopetegui during Real Madrid's pre-season win over Roma.

The Welsh wing wizard set up Marco Asensio to open the scoring in New Jersey on Tuesday night, before popping up with a strike of his own - both inside the first 15 minutes of the game.

Bale looks ready to shine for Real in the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo following his move to Juventus, with talks over a big money move for Eden Hazard as a replacement appearing to stall.

Despite being the star man on show, Bale would only talk about the team post-match.

"We're scoring goals and we're winning matches, so we're doing well," Bale said following the game.
