SRB outdoors trophies for Farmers Day games

The Shai Rural Bank(SRB) at Dodowa has outdoored   four trophies  to be competed for every year by corporate institutions  in soccer, draught , volleyball and oware  games as a means of establishing unity among  stakeholders and organisations in the district.

The games have been scheduled to take place every December on Farmers Day in appreciation of the contribution of farmers to the economy of the nation .

Staff of Shai Rural Bank , National Health  Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the Ghana Education Service(GES)  and the  Ghanatta Senior High School took part in various games to mark this year’s Farmers Day.

The General Manager  of the SRB, Mr Abraham Tetteh, told the Graphic Sports that  the bank’s invitational games started two years ago  to afford its staff  and other corporate institutions  within  the area the opportunity to exercise  and have fun .

He said the decision to donate trophies was to institutionalise the  games to make it a permanent feature  every year  to socialise  with the community.

Mr Tetteh said it was also to position itself  to serve  its customers  better  through excellent customer services , increased and improved service centre in an enhanced technological  environment.

Mr Tetteh said the bank was owned by its numerous shareholders who were mainly indigenes  of the community .

He pledged the bank’s intention to work harder  towards increasing its investment  to make its shareholders feel comfortable.
