Players in Black Stars camp increases to 18 following arrival of Aboagye, Ofori [LIST]
Two players including former national U-20 star Clifford Aboagye have joined the Black Stars camp in Cape Coast ahead of their double-header against Sudan.
Aboagye who currently plays for Mexican top-tier side Tijuana FC received the call-up late Monday after coach Charles Kwablan (CK) Akonnor made seven additions to his original 23-man squad which was decimated by withdrawals.
Akonnor will be hopeful of extracting some midfield creativity from the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup Bronze Ball winner following the withdrawals Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso. Also joining Aboagye in camp is goalie Richard Ofori who recently joined South Africa giants Orlando Pirates.
The latest additions brings to 18 the number of players who are in the Black Stars camp.
It will be recalled that the Black Stars commenced camping in Accra on Monday, November 9, 2020, with only 10 players.
