Newly sworn-in GFA ExCo members
The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, and 18 newly-elected members of the FA’s Executive Committee were sworn into office yesterday for a four-year term.
For Mr Nyantakyi, it was the beginning of a third successive four-year term as head of the football regulatory body.
Both the FA president and the ExCo members were sworn-in separately by Supreme Court judge, His Lordship, Justice Ennin Yeboah, during the ordinary session of the GFA Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.
Three other Executive Committee members — Abdulai Alhassan (Northern Regional FA), Roy Arthur (Central Regional FA) and Francis Dogbatse (Volta Regional FA) — were not sworn in because of legal challenges of their election in the law courts.
The 18 members sworn-in included George Afriyie, Delali Senaye, Albert Commey, Opoku Nti, Frank Nelson, Benjamin Eyison, Kurt Okraku, Wilfried Osei Kwaku, John Frederick Mensah and Kweku Eyiah.
Others were Leanier Addy, Alhaji Daudi Sadugu, Salifu Zida, Augustine Asante, Osei Tutu Agyemang, Ganiyu Lawal, Kojo Yankah and Nii Komiete Doku.
