Jordan getting into his groove

IT’S been long in coming but striker Jordan Ayew is gradually getting into his groove for Aston Villa as he scored his second successive goal though it was not enough to earn his side a win.

The 23-year-old came off the bench to score the consolation goal in their 1-3 loss to Totten ham Hotspur, as the newly-appointed Villa manager, Remi Garde, watched from the stands

After struggling to impress with his scoring form, the young of the Ayew brothers now playing in the English Premier League, scored his first goal against his elder brother, Andre Dede’s Swansea last week.

He followed it up by winning a penalty for his side though they lost in their Capital One Cup clash against Southampton before his strike last Monday.

Though he’s yet to celebrate any victory since joining Villa, Ayew’s performance is considered as progressing as his performance received rave reviews in the English media as well as among the teeming Villa fans on social media.

Meanwhile, Andre has been nominated for Swansea’s Best Player of the Month of October alongside teammates Jonjo Shelvey and defender Neil Taylor.

The Ghana deputy skipper grabbed two goals last month — against Totten ham at the Liberty Stadium and the winner against Villa.
