Gold Stars kick out Hearts of 2013 MTN/FA Cup
The woes of Accra Hearts of Oak were yesterday deepened by Division One League(DOL) side, Gold Stars, who beat them 2-1 at Bibiani to kick the Phobians out of this year’s MTN/FA Cup.
Gold Stars were delightful as they kept their opponents on the backfoot for the greater part of the first half and managed to score two goals through Elvis Opoku on the 10th and 12th minutes respectively.
The former Okwawu United midfielder tapped the ball home after a porous Hearts defence failed to stop the Gold Stars attackers.
Elvis added the second two minutes later with a perfect freekick.

At Koforidua, the title holders managed to sail through to the next stage when they defeated Division Two side, Score FC 2-1, while Ashgold handed B.A. United 3-1 defeat at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium to qualify to the next stage.
