In a landmark initiative aimed at shaping the future of young Ghanaian athletes, Ghana Badminton, in partnership with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), has unveiled a transformative scholarship programme for dual-career athletes.
The programme will award 100 scholarships to talented badminton players aged 15 to 18, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their career prospects while making a meaningful impact in their communities.
The fully online and flexible course is designed to help athletes balance their education with their rigorous training schedules, ensuring they thrive both on and off the court.
Participants will complete the programme within three months, gaining valuable life skills that will improve their career opportunities and prepare them for leadership roles.

Upon completion, successful candidates will also be eligible for a postgraduate certificate in International Sports Management from the University of London, a qualification that opens doors to emerging sports technologies and elite sporting careers.
