Henry Manly-Spain submits nomination forms to contest Ghana boxing's top post
He vowed to liaise with partners abroad and the corporate society in the country to inject massive funds into the game to benefit stakeholders and the society
"I have been in the game for a very long time, boxing is my life, and if I get the chance to lead this sport it shall never be the same again,” he told the Daily Graphic moments after submitting his completed nomination form to the GBA Secretariat at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
He was accompanied by lead trainer of Bronx Boxing Club and a technical director of the GBA, Lawrence Carl Lokko.
Mr Manly-Spain paid GH¢3,000 in filling fees after Patrick Johnson, General Secretary of the GBA, inspected and approved of the completed forms.
"I have checked all the documents and it is complete, I wish you all the best in the elections," Mr Johnson stated.
Mr Manly-Spain is the first aspirant to file his nominations for the elections scheduled to take place on July 23 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
