Bismark Idan — For New Edubiase

New Edubiase United have signed striker Bismark Idan as the second transfer window closed yesterday with the Bekwai-based club expecting the former Berekum Chelsea marksman to help strengthen the attacking machinery of his new club as they fight relegation in the second round of the Premier League.

New Edubiase president, Abdul-Salam Yakubu, confirmed Idan’s signing and told the Daily Graphic he hoped that the player would make a positive impact and turn the fortunes of the club around. 

“Yes, we have signed Bismark,midfielder  Abdul Latif Anabela, striker Yaw Antwi and Abdul Wahab to make the team more potent. We expect positive things from them in the second round,” the New Edubiase boss said.

He assured the clubs supporters  that New Edubiase would be one of the dark horses in the league in the second round despite languishing at the bottom of the league log.

Before the transfer window closed yesterday, Chelsea who also secured the services of Wa All Stars midfielder, Nana Tei Horsu, who rejoined the 2011 Premier League champions  on loan with an option for Chelsea to sign him on a permanent deal if he excels at the end of the season.

Also to feature for Chelsea in the second round is midfielder Frank Osei, who signed a three-year deal with the club. 

Last Tuesday, Kumasi Asante Kotoko confirmed the signing of AshantiGold’s Emmanuel Osei on a three-year deal.

“We are through with his negotiation. It’s a done deal and it can go public officially,” Kotoko General Manager, Opoku Nti, told the club’s website.
